[Log: Brad and Liz]

Bradley finally chose to venture out into the forest after being at the inn for weeks. It wasn't winter and there wasn't snow, but the forest still held bad memories. He was surprised when he came across Liz Parker by a small campfire.

"Uh, hey," he said lamely.

Liz was taking Jane's advice and had gone camping for a few days by herself - not too far into the forest though, she knew from experience there were things that lived in the forest that were dangerous. Camping sort of reminded her of her dad. He was always so excited to do the dad-parent camping trip her school organized every yeae.

When she saw Brad, she was surprised, but offered him a smile. "Hey."

"Sorry for disturbing you," Brad said, pausing. "I was jus going for a walk. I didn't mean to bother you."

She shook her head. "That's okay. You're not bothering me or anything. I just came out here to figure some so stuff out, you know?" She gestured to the space beside her on the log she was using as a bench. Behind her was a tent.

Brad hestitated and then took the seat. He looked at the fire.

"Where did you learn to do all this?" He asked.

Liz couldn't help but smile at the memory. "My dad. He is really into camping."

Bradley grew silent. My dad is really into camping too.

"Yeah..." He said, wanting a change in subject. "So... Is it helping being out here?"

Liz paused for a moment to think. "I think so. It's.. well, there's less noise here." Less people she thought she had to make proud and not let down. "And I've been doing a lot of writing in my journal." It helped her.

"I'm sorry you've been having it rough lately. It's not fair." He said. "Isn't this place sort of like life vacation? That's what everyone keeps telling me anyways."

She nodded. She wasn't sure why but everything felt like it was happening quickly lately. "I guess life just doesn't like to be ignored, even here."

Brad frowned.

"I think it's unfair" he said plainly. "You're a great person and you deserve to be happy. I wish stuff wasn't complicated for you."

I wish I could show you how uncomplicated it could be with me.

"It's not so bad." Liz shrugged, smiling. "Being out here sort of helped me see that."

Bradley smiled back.

"Okay, well, I guess that's good then." He replied. "How long are you staying out here?"

"A day, I think. I brought enough food until Friday. I've been out here since Monday." Plus she missed everyone despite liking the clarity the forest gave her.

"Wow," he said, impressed. "That's a long time. I don't think I could stay that long."

Bradley was having hard time being in the forest right now.

"I should leave you alone, then." He said, smiling. "Don't want to ruin your clarity."

"You don't have to go if you want." Liz smiled reassuringly. He wasn't a bother.

Bradley shook his head and stood.

"It's okay," he said. "I sort of came out here to do something which means I need to to keep going. I'll see you around Liz."

He started on his way again.
