When the creatures come pouring out of nowhere, something in Kitty unknots. It's like she's been waiting for this since she arrived and now she can finally breathe because here it is. She can't help missing Maya and Lara, because they'd both be amazing to have in this fight, but there's no room in battle for grief.
She swats down a few skeletons with her sword on the way into the parking lot, but her gaze is on the sky. The ability to go aerial is a limited commodity among their fighters, so she's watching the tiny skull and the enormous lizard guy.
It looks like Tony's got sights on the skull (demilich, she's reminded from the D&D game Sam and Harry ran), and something perverse and contrary in her decides she needs to take on the dragon to show that she can pull her weight in a fight as well as a bar and a lab. It's not a bad decision, just questionably motivated.
But when she sends herself skyward any chance she might change her mind is way too late. The dragon dips a wing to wheel away from Rocket (crazy-ass alien raccoon; gotta love him), and swings its head to see what Peter's doing. Kitty takes that opportunity to settle astride its neck and alternates sword strikes with putting her fist through bone to crumble it.
