Mia had been able to find an adapter that allowed her to plug in without having a synthetic charging station available. However the strongest current for her was in the lobby, which also put her vulnerable. She had to trust in Liz and Rocket that the other occupants would be ‘okay’ with a synthetic. She sat comfortably on the sofa with the charging cord connected to her waist with her eyes lowered. The only indication that she might not be human besides the cord that was subtly placed, was that two of her fingers would rhythmically pulse toward her palm while she was charging.

Unlike the synthetics that humans were used to, Mia’s mind whirled through all the information that she’d been given since her arrival. She needed to make decisions of who to trust and who not to.
