Given everything else that happened around here it shouldn't be absurd to think he was the Captain Hook from the story, but it was a level of suspending disbelief that hadn't been demanded of her yet. Even with a girl named Snow White around, all you had to do was look at her to know she wasn't a princess, let alone one with skin pale as snow.
