As Vex reached for him, Kash began to grumble but the sounds stopped before they reached his lips. She'd told him one of the two things he most needed to know. But that she'd been all right after Thordak (he'd healed her, of course he had, because somehow he'd been there and here at the same time), she could. So instead of pushing her away, he kissed her cheek briefly in gratitude.
