Outside by the hiking trails was a good place to meet, Dean had to admit, if only because hanging around inside the Inn was a pretty good way to get hit by whatever was going around. And one thing he already knew: getting hit once didn't mean you were immune in future. You could get hit over and over. And yeah, that was fun, but it kind of interrupted the hunter groove.
So yeah, fewer people fewer hits seemed reasonable.
He didn't jog up even when he saw Buffy at their meetup spot. He kept walking normally, but he did wave and call out, "Hey!" while he closed the distance to make sure he was in no way sneaking.
