"I mean, I get it," Peter says, because really, he does. Even though he technically doesn't really have actual biological parents, he does have Aunt May, and that's almost the same thing, except in title. "But I mean, parents have to realize eventually that they're not always going to be able to protect you. I mean, my Aunt May freaked out when she realized I was the Spider-Man. It was really kinda weird."
The whole situation was pretty uncomfortable, actually. Especially the way she found out. Not the way Peter would have liked for her to discover that particular life fact.
