There was obviously something more going on with Corbie than just seeing him being a dick because she had gotten really mad. He could tell that, but he didn't ask about it - it wasn't his place to be nosey and if she wanted to tell him than she'd share. Otherwise, he understood the desire to keep things hidden away.
