Especially when a dark-haired young woman, in plus-fours and tail coat, with goggles perched on her head and a contraption on one arm, carrying a cane in the other appeared next to them. The woman bowed to Alec, then offered her hand. If he shook it, he'd find it as solid as Emma's would have been.
