"Scanlan," she murmured, finding it hard to think with all the butterflies fluttered in her stomach. She desperately wished that she could believe him, but there was still a small but resolute part of her that wouldn't let her forget the way he'd ogle any attractive woman that walked by even when she was present.

He hadn't done that here though. So maybe, just maybe, she could ignore that for now.
