Two Women, Two Books (OTA)
It was a nice day out and the sun was shining bright.
Liz Parker took up residence in one of the lounge chairs by the pool, clad in jean shorts and a t-shirt, and was currently writing in her journal. She had a lot of thoughts about what she had learned with her readings with Emma. Several days after the initial news, Liz was no longer prone to crying if she dwelled too long on the subject of Max and Tess and Tess' pregnancy. Still, she hadn't quite gotten around to telling Kitty or Poitr or anyone else she might usually confide in. Only Peter knew.
I can't believe out of everyone at the Inn, the first person to know about my heartbreak with another guy is my boyfriend.
Meanwhile, a pregnant red Tiefling sat on the edge of the pool in a above-the-knee blue maternity dress. Her legs swished around idly in the water as she held up the What to Expect When You're Expecting. She was particularly looking for any sort of information on twins because, apparently, that was what she was having - they did run in the family, after all.

Re: Pike & Zahra
"The one thing we have a lot of here, is time." She looked over to her friend. "You don't need to rush into anything should you feel uncomfortable"
Re: Pike & Zahra
She looked up at Zahra, "How did you know you wanted to be with Kash?"
Re: Pike & Zahra
She hmm'd as she considered that.
"We're both a little broken, Kash and I. When I met him, his distance is what drew me to him." She didn't have to worry about getting 'too close' or so she thought. "But I discovered I was a better person when I was with him. He pushed me as I pushed him to be stronger and faster and we always seemed to have fun, even if we were near death. And I knew I could trust him with my life implicitly."
Re: Pike & Zahra
They pushed each other to be better as well. She certainly liked herself more when he was around. She laughed more, trusted herself, felt valued.
"Trust," the word stuck in both her mind and throat, "That's kind of a big part of it, isn't it?"
Re: Pike & Zahra
"The most important." She nodded. "You can have a hot-as-hell person, but if there's no trust, it will never fulfill you the way you hope." Zahra tilted her head a bit. "Have we decided to forgive him?"
Re: Pike & Zahra
Re: Pike & Zahra
"Trust must be earned, not given freely." Zahra looked at her friend. "Scanlan has to work hard for that. Don't feel like you have to do anything for that Gnome of yours until you feel he's proven himself."
Re: Pike & Zahra
Re: Pike & Zahra
Zahra would argue with her friend that Scanlan was most definitely hers, but she smiled instead. "That is probably a wise decision. Actions do speak louder than words, they say. And so it would be extra true for someone like him."
