You could tell Alec was bored because he was actually being helpful for once. The washing machine was broken and while he was fairly certain that it would be fixed the next day, he had actually turned it on its side and was currently taking parts out and laying them on the ground. He hadn't quite found the reason for the unit to stop working and part of him was going to be pissed if it was some sort of 'magic' shit rather than a busted fan or something 'normal'.

And this was the story of how the floor was filled with crap as Alec demonstrated his ability to be handy.
