Vax tipped his head at Jag as he considered the words. "I like that," he decided slowly, repeating it back to himself. He did sometimes find himself thinking of his faith as a bargain, before thinking of it as a practice of self-improvement - duty, maybe, before devotion. That had a lot to do with how he'd become faithful, but much had changed since then.
