Peter's birthday. I'm surprising him with a tour of CERN." And she looked
excited about it. Jane was right about one thing - Liz was relaxed. Being
back in a place that looked a lot like home, or as close to home as
possible, it was nice and re-assuring.
"I'm trying to figure out the hotel, though. Alec got a discount at the
Ritz-Carlton" Liz didn't know what he had done, exactly, but she suspected
she'd blush instantly if he told her. "But they wouldn't let me actually
check in because of my age." Liz looked sheepish. It was hard to forget the
'real world' viewed seventeen year-olds differently than the Madonna Inn.
