Clarice was actually playing one of Dean's favorite games. He came up to ask if she wanted a partner and stopped in his tracks when he saw her ears. It wasn't the weirdest thing he'd seen and she wasn't the only one here with pointed ears but it still stopped him short at the unexpected of it.
