Corbie hadn't thought of that. Her eyes went back to the picture. And as she took him in, she thought of Felix as she'd known him--exhausted, desperate, grieving, homesick, smothered... It was not that she had never seen him experience anything positive, he had enjoyed teaching her. He had enjoyed working at the Institution. He had been finding balance again in his life. But even so.
