There were things he could say, like how fucking glad he was she'd ripped out Rockhouse's throat and took his singing along with it. But with her humming along with him, and how he could feel her unknotting, he didn't want to stop the music for anything. Instead, he shifted his embrace so he could take her weight, kissed her temple softly, spread his wings and lifted into the air. The roof, he thought, unless she wanted to fly, then they could take off for somewhere.
