Lillith could not track the flow of emotion across Curnen's face. She only knew that there was much her friend didn't say. Maybe that should have bothered her, but she trusted Curnen as much as she trusted anyone. What she wished to say, Lillith would hear and what she didn't, Lillith would leave be.
