Project | OTA
A curse escape his lips and then a piece of metal went flying through the air. It landed on the pavement of the parking lot and rolled a foot before landing on its side. Quill stood up and looked at the beginning of his project with disdain. It was a chair welded onto a sheet of metal right now and he was currently trying to curve the next piece of metal. There were hunks of metal from various parts of the inn: an abandoned table here, a chair there, the side of the vending machine. After experimenting with some of the items, Quill discovered if he took a side of the vending machine off, it would be replaced the next day. It would be slow going, but maybe in months or a year he'd have enough metal for what he wanted to make.
"Note to self, the fridge door is useless," He said to himself as he kicked the broken metal sheet in frustration.
Building a space ship form scratch is going to take forever

Re: Thor and Quill
Re: Thor and Quill
That was new information to Quill and he brought his gaze back to Thor.
"Stark really did that?" He asked. "Huh... okay, probably worth a try. I was going to get Rocket to help build it too. He's good at scrounging up resources where you think there isn't any."

Re: Thor and Quill
"Fly," He said without sarcasm. "I'm not stupid enough to think I can leave, though I'll probably try. I just want to feel what it's like to be up in the air again in control of something. My boots are one thing, but a ship is completely different. If I can make it big enough for Rocket, too, it might even start feeling like home."
Re: Thor and Quill
He crouches down beside Quill and nods a head towards the scrap of metal in front of them. "Can I try bending this?"
Re: Thor and Quill
His expression changed automatically in a way Quill couldn't quite stop himself. The competitive nature in him took over.
"I mean, yeah," He said, gesturing to it. "I was going to bend it myself, but I wasn't sure I wanted to. If you have a good idea for it, go ahead."

Re: Thor and Quill
He looked at Thor, then sighed. He made a show of rolling his eyes.
"No, no, it's fine." He answered. "Bend it. Show me those Asgardian muscles."
Re: Thor and Quill
"Sure."
Thor bites his lower lip as he tries to force the metal together; it doesn't happen quickly, but once he gets started, the metal gives more easily.
Before long, he offers Quill the shaped metal.
Re: Thor and Quill
"I mean, it's not exactly how I'd have done it, but it's pretty good," He said, taking the metal. Dammit, it's really good "Could probably maybe fit it here."
He placed it on part of his project and it fit perfectly.

Re: Thor and Quill
"Oh, you know. More," He said as Quill vaguely gestured with his hands.
Quill had no actual idea what he would have done with it.
Re: Thor and Quill
Thor settles back down on the ground. "You've been making yourself scarce," he observes aloud.
