Harry Dresden, Molly Carpenter February 16, 2017
Harry was chopping wood. Not with his hands or anything cool like that, although he wondered if he could actually do that. The place to try that out though was definitely not at the remote hotel without fully trained medical staff. So he was using an axe like some sort of normal person. At least he was strong enough that the wood was splitting with a satisfying "crack" every time he swung the axe. At least he was effective at something because not being able to get out of here sucked. Not that this was a horrible place to be trapped of course but a gilded prison was still a prison.
So here he was, splitting wood outside with his shirt off (because it wasn't like he had a ton of spare shirts he could swap out if this one got too sweaty and smelly), just trying to do something productive. Never mind that he didn't even know if they actually needed firewood, because they probably didn't. Harry just wanted to do something.
Plus, axes were totally awesome and dangerous and how could Harry Dresden really resist that combination?
