The Slayer's Cake 2 is now open!

Stop by the bakery window in the Copper Cafe for treats, both sweet and savory. Fresh baked breads, croissants, cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, we can do it all!

Our daily offerings will usually vary based on our whims, but requests are always welcome.

Come by any day and grab something delicious. If no one's behind the counter, just help yourself!

For Valentine's Day, we're taking special orders! Menu items should be ordered on the page below by Tuesday, February 13th for delivery on the 14th. (But if it's a little late that's okay too.)

If you're looking for something extra special, stop by and talk to Pike or Rey directly

Pike rested her chin in her hands. She couldn't help it, she was just so pleased. "Okay, well, I can do a few things. If you want a whole cake, I have a delicious angel food cake that has a lot less sugar. Making it chocolate and spicy wouldn't be an issue." At least, she didn't think it would..."Or, I could do something more rich and decadent like fudge or brownies, but it would be something smaller. Think tart sized."

"Small, rich, and decadent," Kash said without a moment's hesitation. He didn't want to dilute any pleasure of Z's, not ever. "Brownies. Cut small." On an impulse, he added, "Fresh fruit tarts, too. The stuff we don't really have at home," and hoped he didn't sound as much like a lovestruck, overprotective idiot as he felt.

“Good choice,” she beamed up at him. They both knew it had t actually been a complicated choice. Z was not a light and fluffy kind of woman, pregnant or not. “What about some chocolate covered strawberries?”

Kash twisted his mouth thoughtfully. "No, I don't think so. Too sweet. What about that creamy stuff?" He couldn't remember what it was called, but he'd watched Pike beating it while they were talking. When he had tasted it, it was milky and not sweet. "Goes on top of ice cream or pie?"

"Whipped cream?" Pike's brows furrowed, "You know we have that at home, right?"

Kash shrugged and shook his head. "Never had it before here. Or if I did, it didn't taste that good. But, yeah, that's the stuff."

"Well, it is much easier here. Rey showed me this fun machine that does all the work for me! I just put everything in the bowl and this metal thing just spins around." Having someone in the kitchen who at least understood some of the technology in that shiny kitchen was really wonderful. "Also, the sugar here is much more fine. That might help."

Not knowing what went into the whipping cream, he wasn't near as impressed as Pike was. Then again, Kash wasn't that impressed with anything. He smiled anyway. What he did know, though, was, "No, the stuff I tasted didn't have sugar in it, I don't think. Or not a lot of it."

"Is that something you can do? Whipped cream without lots of sugar and fresh berries? I think she would like that, and the dairy and berries are good for the baby." Or babies. But baby was hard enough to get his head around at the moment.
