Spa Day - Tag Pike
Bo hadn't realized how tense she was until she had been given a massage and then left to relax with the faint sound of music accompanied by dim lighting in the spa. Now she lay there, face covered in a greenish-white mask with cucumbers on her face, she exhaled a little. "Yeah, okay. I definitely needed this."
She couldn't see her friend, but she knew Pike was lying beside her on her own table. Even back home this had been a long time coming. Sometimes she and Kenzi would do little spa days at home, but with the Garuda, she hadn't really be able to take time for herself.

"Not another beau, just a pain in the ass who won't talk to me." Okay, technically Dyson was a former beau, but he definitely wasn't right now. "Why do men think the best way to deal with hard things is to hide from it?"
She didn't even know what "it" was!

Bo visualized it in her head and watching Pike punch Dyson was pretty cathartic. Especially since Pike was at a good height to punch Dyson right where it would hurt the most. Her lips formed an amused smile for a moment. Then she sighed.
"Dyson. He's avoiding me like I asked him out to prom and I'm the awkward kid everyone avoids."

"That doesn't actually surprise me," she hummed, "When I asked him about his tendency to disappear on New Year's Eve, he didn't really seem that apologetic."
no subject
"Right? He's never apologetic about that stuff. Like, 'It's the way of the wolf'." Bo's voice went low as she mimicked Dyson's voice, but it was overly dramatic. "What does that even mean?"
no subject
Maybe it had the tequila, but everything has seemed to make sense when he was saying it. Now though, she couldn't really figure out why he'd be acting weird again. "Are you gonna go talk to him?"
no subject
She let out a sigh, then there was quiet as she contemplated this under her cucumbered mask. "Yes. I mean, if I don't I might just punch him as he walks by out of frustration." Maybe she would do that anyways. It would probably feel good for a moment.
"What about you? Spent anymore time with easy-on-the-eyes?"

Pike blushed a little under her mask. "Yeah, I've seen him a few times. Taught him how to knead bread yesterday."
no subject
At Pike's words, Bo wondered why it was always her making the effort, but Bo realized she was worried if she didn't do something she'd lose him forever. She wasn't ready for that.
"Is knead bread a euphemism for something?" She smirked. Yes, change of topic was made not so subtly.

"I can help you with those. I'm pretty good at making them." She thought about Alec for a second. "At least you didn't say anything about buns in ovens."
no subject
But Bo’s next words caught her off guard and it felt like a stone was dropped into her stomach. The levity fell away instantly, “Yeah. No. No buns for me. Not here at least.”

Bo heard the change in Pike's voice and realized she fucked up. She stood up and removed the cucumbers from her eyes. "Hey. I'm sorry." Her voice softer than before.

"Yeah, but... you're allowed to want that, Pike." And she hadn't even considered that that might be a thing. It was so far away for what Bo was ready in her life sometimes she forgot that wasn't the same for other people.

"Wait. You're 40?" Bo looked her friend over and the whistled. "You look good for 40." And really she shouldn't be so surprised as Dyson was way, way older, but still.

"I guess that makes sense. Dyson is super old and I guess this is what I'm going to look like for a long time too. It's still weird. I grew up thinking I was human so this whole living for a long time is crazy."

Well damn. Bo looked at Pike and wondered if Dyson was going to kill her. Probably not since Pike was a gnome, but still.
She scrunched her nose, which made the mask on her face crack. "Sorry. I wasn't... hiding it. I'm just not used to talking about it. And with Sam's mom and brother here..." Well, they didn't want to bridge this topic yet with them.

"Now that I do know, it can't hurt to tell me things...right?" Sitting up, she wrapped the too big robe around herself and bounced up and down a little. "What can you do?"
no subject
Bo didn't know why she felt so worried telling her. She paused and told herself to get a grip.
"I'm a succubus.... I feed off of sexual energy."

Her excitement pulled a smile onto her face. "It can heal me, if I need it, but it's mostly food, I guess." She shook her head. "Kissing can do it, but sex... well, sex is the best in general." Bo winked, feeling a little more at ease talking about it seeing that Pike was comfortable with hearing about it.
"And, yeah. Different people definitely taste different. And if they are Fae or have powers? It's kind of like fireworks in your mouth."
no subject
She rolled over to look at Bo again, a big smile on her face, "Are the mouth fireworks more like spicy food or tequila or lemon or like rich chocolate?"
no subject
"Depends on the person.... To tell you the truth, most humans are... well, it's like, most humans are like water. Then some are like flavoured water. Then Fae -" She thought about the first time she fed off of Dyson. "they can be like milkshakes or tequila or lemonade or a mixed drink."

Bo paused. "I used to have that problem. Back before I knew what I was. It was either nothing or death. I can control it now. It's more like, for most people, succubi aren't exactly the nicest of people. Plus Sam is worried about how his mom and brother would react."

Bo laughed and then nodded. "Alright. You'll be the first to know." Bo really wanted to get along with Sam's family. So much it worried her, actually.
"Hopefully they won't hold me lying to them for a while against me."

Bo thought there were some secrets that were worse than others. "Well... thank you for not getting angry at me for keeping what I am from you."
