[Backdated April 28th] Frustrations - OTA
Alec found himself walking down the hall tense and unable to really form a coherent thought except a lot of swearing directed toward Peter. He hadn't expected to punch the kid - to really punch the kid. Even when they fought in the parking lot, Alec had held back. That punch - he had meant to hurt Peter. And then after, when he had he was pissed off that Peter hadn't defended himself.
In his walking as he dwelled on the events that just transpired, Alec saw the vending machine. That damn vending machine.
He closed the distance between him and it and then Alec began to punch it. Not the glass - that would be too easy - Alec punched the metal. The metal dented with each hit, his knuckles getting raw and bloody quickly from it.

Re: Alec & Corbie
Alec took a deep inhale and breathed in Corbie. Unlike the last time they shared a bed, he could actually take her in and not just her body. Somehow she felt very grounded.
Maybe he saw something of himself in Peter. He wasn't really sure why it mattered so much.
Re: Alec & Corbie
It wasn't that she didn't have more questions, but she needed a minute to process all of this.
Re: Alec & Corbie
He had never been sung to and certainly never while in bed. He knew of stories were mothers sang to their child to go to sleep, but he had never seen the point of it until now. The sound of her humming was restful. It eased something inside of him, if only momentarily. Alec's body stilled, like one who was focusing entirely on the sound and on how her voice moved up and down to the melody.
Re: Alec & Corbie
Corbie continued to hum, in no particular hurry, until she came to the end of the song. Then she was just silent for a long moment. "That's a lot for a person to carry. And a lot to untangle. I'm sorry you have to." she said after a while. "Still, you should apologize to Peter, at the least."
Re: Alec & Corbie
He sighed and sat up, as if the end if the song somehow broke the spell. He did, however, look more like himself than before.
Alec rubbed the back of his neck. "I know.... The kid makes that stuff hard." Because there were always follow up questions and talk about feelings and whining.

Re: Alec & Corbie
Legs hanging off the bed, Alec leaned on his thighs. "Which is why I won't tell him." Alec felt strangely protective of Peter. He wasn't sure why. It wasn't like they knew each other for long, but there was something about Peter that sparked protection in him.

Re: Alec & Corbie
"Better." And less like punching things. Alec turned to look at her. "Thanks for... you know."

Re: Alec & Corbie
This might have been the first time, ever, he was on or near a bed with a woman and it wasn't sexual. It was a little foreign to him.
Alec stood up. "I should, uh. Go see if the kid's alright." Probably.
