Swayze Always Gets A Pass - OTA

Dean had entered the library - yes he knew there was one, but he wasn't a fan of the one at the Inn because of all the 'Black Magic Women' that were in charge of it. He didn't trust it - or rather them and by extension, it. But he'd heard there were VCR machines to be rented and he'd gone in, got what he needed and got out - sort of like how he did clothes shopping.

Videos were another matter entirely. That was like going into an old school Blockbuster and not around the magic types. Win/win. He was looking at the selection in the VHS 'lending library' area. "Man this is awesome!" He grabbed, 'The Outsiders, Roadhouse and Rudy' then went down the next aisle and made a face when the first movie he saw was 'Dirty Dancing'. "Swazye always gets a pass."

One of the black magic women was reshelving materials and not paying particular attention to the context that brought that comment about. Which didn't matter, because as Sunny admitted, "My knowledge of Patrick Swayze begins and ends with the lyrics to 'Let's All Have a Patrick Swayze Christmas,' so I'm not sure what that means."

"Nobody puts baby in a corner." Molly said with a grin but she reached for 'Ghost.' She actually wasn't that big of a fan of Dirty Dancing either. Her own eclectic grouping included Heathers, Alien, The Big Lebowski and now Ghost. "What? You're not a fan of Dirty Dancing?" She winked.

"Ah." So in other words, an excuse for men not to feel unmanly watching a girl movie. It sounded like a motto her brothers might like. But Sunny wasn't going to get into that here and now. "So what would one of the great ones be?"

"What's wrong with Ghost? Not a romantic?" Truth was she'd never been into the movie either but it had a special meaning since Harry's death. "I bet some girl could talk you into sitting with her and a pottery wheel."

"Before I became a wizard it was horror movies. I loved them all from cheesy to the good ones like Alien. After dealing with real life monsters, I like dark comedies." She held up Heathers. "Like this one."

Though you know from the next century.

"That doesn't much matter. Either it stands on its own as a story or not." But Sunny did have to admit that was intriguing. There were a lot of different ways to be on the social fringe. She idly fingered a blonde braid. "But that sounds interesting. Maybe I'll try it out when you're done."

"If you're sure..." Sunny started as she tentatively accepted the tape. She was already considering who she might ask to watch it with her. She wasn't keen on watching movies by herself.

She nodded toward the stack he'd collected. "Are you ready to check out, or did you have more browsing to do?"

Sunny nodded, but she had to admit, "Yeah, but we're not as strict about it as an actual library would be. It's too easy to lose track of time here." She jerked her head in the direction of the circulation desk. "I can take care of it."

"We do know where everyone sleeps," Sunny answered, keeping her laugh soft to keep from disturbing any other patrons. She led Dean back to the desk and took the VHS tapes so she could complete the charm that would allow the materials to leave the library space.

She passed them back when she'd finished. "But most people finish and come back before a month's up. Have fun with those."

"First Gilligan's Island and now Scooby Doo. You do love your classics, don't you?" Molly teased and then glanced down at his tapes, "how come you don't have Scooby in there. They probably have them on VHS.... oh maybe not. Is that a new thing to put shows on DVDs?"

Sunny nodded and picked up the tape, considering it. "I've only seen a couple of Coppola films before, but that name alone is guarantee that it'll be interesting. And it's been too long since I saw a movie older than I am. An American one, anyway."

"Right? Plus, they're really good baby sitting. Just sit a kid in front of it and they'll be entertained for hours." She smiled slightly, "though I can't picture Sam sitting and watching Scooby Doo for long."

"Beasts of the Southern Wild," Sunny answered at once. It wasn't the best movie, but she had quite the soft spot for it and it made her sob like a baby. "Though I doubt that one's going to turn up here. I really do love to hate Powder, that one's likely around."
