Missing (OTA)
Liz stood in the middle of the lobby with a quiet, panicked look on her face. She turned around a second time, surveying the scene around her, but the second pass didn't help any. She ran a hand through her hair and then headed for one of the couches. She pulled back the cushions, digging her hand into the crevice of the gaudy plush decor and when her hand emerged empty, she felt her chest tighten.
Liz's journal was missing.
She thought she had brought it back to the room yesterday after studying in the cafe, but this morning when she went to review her notes from the day before, she had discovered that the familiar book she had so many things in was gone. She had checked the library, the restaurant, the cafe, even the kitchen itself. It had to be somewhere, right?
(ooc: Find her pretty much anywhere. Also! Feel free, if your character would so choose, to find the journal and read all or some of it because I am a cruel mistress.)

Re: Brad/Liz
"I guess it's kind of hard to be normal here, too." He said. "I thought I hated boring, but you're right.. being here, I miss it a lot."
I miss my family.
"We were going to move to London soon, actually." Brad said, then looked like he regretted saying so. "But I guess I'm here now."
A beat.
"I'm glad there are other teenagers here, like you." He continued. "Makes things feel a little more..."
He shrugged to complete his sentence.
Re: Brad/Liz
Liz nodded. "I know." She definitely did. "It's, um. It's gotten better since I got here. There are more people our age around, which is nice. Sometimes we do things." Sometimes Liz organized things because she had this sense of need to form friendships like she did back home. She wasn't sure how well it was working.
"We had a beach party... I'm thinking of organizing something else, but I don't really know what." She looked at him. "What do they do for fun in Sudbury?"
Re: Brad/Liz
Bradley thought about his answer first.
"House parties, I guess?" He said with a shrug. "Bowling or the arcade maybe."
That's kind of lame saying it out loud
"We hang out at the mall a lot too." He continued as he rubbed the back of his neck. "There's not a whole lot to do back home."
Re: Brad/Liz
She could probably throw an equivalent of a house party here, though she wondered with the group they had if anyone would be interested, especially if it was like the kind Kyle often went to back home which was all about dancing and drinking. Miguel was too young, Mack probably too, and she was never drinking again after the episode she had last month. She didn't think Peter cared one way or the other for alcohol either. In fact, she couldn't quite picture any of them at a house party. But maybe she could do something with the video games in the library and music in the conference room. Her wheels were already turning.
"Same thing for Roswell." She smiled a little. "Most of the time we just hang out at my parent's diner. Super lame, right?"
Re: Brad/Liz
"I think it's kind of cool your parents have a restaurant. Free food and stuff." He said, smiling. "Do you work there too?"
Re: Brad/Liz
"Yeah." She smiled. "And now I work at the restaurant here as a server." Liz looked a little sheepish. At least she didn't have to wear her uniform? Though Peter liked the uniform, she knew that.
"Have you, um.... how's your room?"
Re: Brad/Liz
Bradley was starting to notice Liz often second-guessed herself.
"It's okay." He answered. "I mean, it's the weirdest hotel room I've ever stayed in, but I've heard it's not as over-the-top as a lot of other rooms so I'm thankful for that. What's yours like?"
Re: Brad/Liz
"My room?" She thought about it for a minute. "I think it's supposed to be for like, a couple on a honeymoon or something." She definitely got the 'romantic' vibe from it. "But it's not super bright or over the top, which is nice." And she wasn't blinded when she woke up every morning.
She sighed as she closed the last cupboard. "I don't think it's in here..."
Re: Brad/Liz
Brad felt bad for Liz. He didn't have a diary, but he knew it had personal things in it and that other people reading it would be like people reading his text messages.
"It'll show up." He said encouragingly. "Everyone keeps telling me how people here are nice, so it has to, right?"
Not like home where people would definitely read it and post pictures on Instagram about it.
Re: Brad/Liz
"Yeah, I know." And she did, for the most part, think someone would return it, but it was always hard to trust people 100% unless they were a select few. "Thanks, though, for helping me look. I think I'm just going to go back to the library and see if anything turned up somehow."
Re: Brad/Liz
"Yeah, no problem." He said with a smile. "I'll keep my eyes open too and let you know if I see anything."
Re: Brad/Liz
She nodded with a smile. "Thanks." And after a small pause, Liz headed for the library.
