Dean makes good on a bet - Lip Sync Hell

With the help of River and copious amounts of alcohol, Dean had finally finished learning the stupid song and moves. It was put off as long as he could, but Dean would never go back on a bet. Especially one won doing beer pong. It didn't mean he wouldn't get his revenge. He would, but for now, Dean was a single lady and you better put a ring on it.

The most traveled place was the spot by the cafe in the lobby. Most people would see you there either coming and going from the inn or to the bar or pool. Of course Clarice picked that spot.

He set up the music and hoped that for once, everyone was outside enjoying the day. Dean was dressed in the 'gift' from Clarice but he was not wearing the pumps, he didn't care and he had borrowed a wig. If he was going to do it, he would do it right.

The beginning of the song began to play and Dean got to the empty area 'stage'.

It was close enough. As long as it was in the name of good fun and all, Sunny was fine. "Betcha if you let Caroline know, she'd make it happen in record time."

Sam and Dean

Sam just happened to be passing through the lobby when Dean was due to perform. Yeah, just happened to be, if by just happened you meant had seen Clarice's message and wouldn't have missed it for the world.

About twenty seconds into it, he was experiencing the worst secondhand embarrassment that he could ever remember, and immediately went to grab a few beers. Dean was going to need them whenever people got done putting a ring on it. Ew. On his finger, putting a ring on his finger. Anything else they were putting a ring on, Sam didn't want to know.

The embarrassment finally ended and Sam held out a beer. "Jesus, Dean. Who did you lose a bet with?"

"I don't know. I kind of liked the song that you just used." Jane said with a shrug. "I know it's not your taste, but it's was fun to listen to." It was why she'd downloaded it in Europe.

She quickly grinned, "but that might have been because I spent a lot of time in clubs in Europe." Jane had actually enjoyed herself going to clubs.

"Like a green eyed Asian chick with pointed ears and can open portals?" Clarice smirked. "But yeah, I know what you mean. I had a pretty wide this is weird shit in my life, but even with that a pink hotel drinking beer with the god of Thunder probably wouldn't have even made a list."

Dean might have sat up a little straighter. He was okay with girl talk that involved him and sex. "Did you dress in nightshirts and have a pillow fight while you were talking?" He waited a beat before he chuckled.

"You're a genius." Dean wanted to talk to Caroline anyway about maybe organizing a LARP. After he'd talked to his mother, he thought it would be a good distraction at the hotel.

"Beauty and brains." He smiled at her. "If anyone could get something going in a short amount of time, it's her." Not that he needed short time. Revenge was best served cold, but it would be tricky to get Clarice's dress size. That might require subtle stealth. Or breaking into her room and looking. Either worked.

Dean reached for the alcohol almost the instant Sam got it close enough to grab. "Clarice. She's a sadistic bitch." But it was said with actual affection because he would have done - and will do the same when she loses to him.

"See, I'm more of a dive bar kind of guy." Dean swiveled on the bench seat and put his legs out on the seat with his back against the wall. "But I do like the idea of you in a sexy mini dress dancing." He turned his head to look at her with a wink.

"Yeah, like that." Dean teased her, "but hey seeing your mom that died when you were four is probably just as mind blowing as drinking buddies with alien puppy Thor."

Which wasn't exactly the context that Sunny had ever thought of Caroline in, but then again, she wasn't exactly inclined to notice women that way. "I'd say it's more because she's like a human Energizer bunny, but that works, too."

"Do you? Is that like the naughty nurse outfit?" Jane teased him glad his mind was leaving the lip syncing.

That had Clarice choking on her beer. "What the hell? Are you saying your mom died when you were a kid and she's here now?"

That was seriously screwed up.

Molly laughed and playfully threw a napkin at him. "Yes, we did and then we braided each other's hair after that. Of course your brain would go there, no we didn't. Well nightshirts but no pillow fight."

Dean was confused for a second at her response and then it clicked that she hadn't realized who he'd been talking about. He'd meant Sunny rather than Caroline for the brains and beauty but he let the comment pass.

"I would have gone with human water torture with the relentless drip, drip, drip, but Energizer Bunny works, too."

"Damn straight. Now if you could find a cheerleader outfit, too. I think I'm all set." There was a sparkle in his eyes and a tilt to his lips.

Dean raised his glass in an acknowledgement, "yep. I am beyond happy that she's here, but sometimes it's hard to wrap my head around it. Even more for Sam, he was just a baby."

Dean was picturing - and it was easy to do - Jane in nothing but a nightshirt. "Now that's a happy picture."

Really, if there was any room to interpret otherwise, Sunny wasn't going to assume that someone was calling her pretty. It wasn't something she was much used to hearing, and when she did hear it, she rarely trusted it. "Oh, now that's mean." But she was grinning.

"Should I ask Clarice if she can find one where she found your outfit?" Jane asked with a straight face but her eyes held humor.

"Damn." Clarice whistled softly. "You're handling seeing your past better than I would." Especially if she'd come face to face with some of the consequences of her decisions.

"Yeah, but accurate." He actually liked Caroline. "If anyone could get my sixties revenge organized its her." Dean thought about it for a minute, then added, "maybe this can become a thing, like karaoke, only lip syncing."

"Oh, that's just mean. Nice shot." Dean winced, "I'm no longer thinking about you in a cheerleader outfit." There was still humor, though this was directed at himself.

"Trust me. this is good past. If I had to face by bad past, I wouldn't be taking it as well." Dean admitted, "the inn would probably have to repair itself a hell of a lot more than it does now."
