[GP] training day
There was a trope that in prison there wasn't much to do except work out or read. As colorful as Madonna Inn might be, it was still a prison. And look, somebody had put together a library.
Put fifty some people, many of them military, adventurers, vigilantes, or superheroes of one stripe or another, in a prison with none of the urgent missions or near-death experiences they were used to, the fitness center was going to be a popular place. Maybe almost as popular as the bar.
... Probably not quite that popular.
There were free weights and weight machines, treadmills and ellipticals, yoga mats and exercise balls. A room set aside for classes, if someone decided to lead. A large square had been taped over an area of the floor off to one side as a make-shift sparring space. Sports equipment had been brought back from Bonesville for those who preferred more organized games. And those who had been stuck here longest remembered there hadn't always been a salmon ladder.
In other words, something for just about everybody. And you could usually find someone in there if you were looking for a spotter, workout buddy, sparring partner, friendly competition too.

Re: ota
She had been holding back. A little, anyways. And for a moment maybe it felt like they were back home before complications happened. She swung her sword, jabbed, then as he dodged, swung her leg out. In the end she landed on top of him, legs straddled on either side of him in a position they both knew quite well though hadn't explored in a while. Breathless, it took Bo a moment to realize what she had done and then in another she felt surge she always felt when she was near him and she stared at him in an awkward mix of desire and 'oh my God'. Something deeper inside of her was tugging at her, though, willing her to let it loose right now.
Re: ota
The moment seemed to drag out to the breaking point and for a brief flicker it was uncertain if he was going to kiss or or fight her. Then he flipped her off him and pinned her to the mat. Braced over her, it was another familiar position, if one they hadn't explored in a while, he smirked down at her.
"You lost your sword with that last move."
Re: ota
Had it been any other time than now and the position they both found themselves in between themselves and with other people, Bo would have made some sort of witty repartee and wrestled him back to the ground herself. The stirring in her pants and the slight aching in her chest was much more sobering.
"I guess that means you win, then." She attempted a smile, but it wasn't her full force once.
Re: ota
Re: ota
She squeezed his hand as she felt a pang in her heart. "I can't, Dyson." She withdrew her hand and sat up, looking at him. "Not yet, anyways."
Re: ota
Re: ota
She knew back home she'd have leaned forward and given him a kiss in an apology, but somehow even that felt too dangerous to do at the moment.
"Thanks for the workout." Bo sent him another small smile before standing up entirely.
Re: ota
Re: ota
"See you around, Dyson." Bo needed a really, really long shower, among other things at the moment.
