Warm Jelly Donut - Open
Clarice still didn't sleep in her room. There were trust issues and decorating taste issues, but she was spending more time at the 'compound' as she called the Inn. Since the inhibitor collar was removed, Clarice's powers had been broken. She was pretty sure it had to do with everything that had happened to her, at least she hoped so.
So far everything that she'd tried to teleport came back split in two, even after she'd visited the places. Sometimes, it wouldn't hold true and fizzle out after a couple of minutes. The frustration was growing and she knew that made it even worse. She could hear John in her ear to concentrate on something you like.
She sat in the lobby, in one of the padded chairs, with a glowing light between her hands and a bunch of tennis balls at her feet. There was a light from the ceiling above, that correlated to the one between her hands. Clarice picked up one of the balls and tossed it through the teleport only to have two halves fall at her feet.
"Warm Jelly Donut."

Re: Clarice & Sunny
"Or you just could be the next evolution of our mutated gene." Clarice offered with a flash of humor.

Re: Clarice & Sunny
Then again, if space and time were supposed to be the same thing, it was at least somewhat related. Possibly. "How is it supposed to work?"
Re: Clarice & Sunny
She thought of the last time her powers went crazy, "the furthest I even went was probably twenty miles at a time and that did not turn out well."
Re: Clarice & Sunny
Re: Clarice & Sunny
And with that, the opening fizzled away with sparkles. "That something in the molecules aren't holding together."
To be honest, she really had absolutely no idea how her powers worked.

Re: Clarice & Sunny
Of course there was a lot of emotional upheaval before arrival but that wasn't anything she was prepared to discuss.
Re: Clarice & Sunny
Sunny winced in sympathy. She had never had her powers inhibited in such a way, but she had been separated from them before. "How long were you wearing the collar?"
Re: Clarice & Sunny
At least the few people that had it, that's how it happened to them.

Re: Clarice & Sunny
Sunny winced in sympathy. "If there's anything actually damaged, one of the resident healers might be able to do something about it. I don't know, but it might be worth a shot."
Re: Clarice & Sunny
"Any of them just do the physical healing without walking around in my head?"
Re: Clarice & Sunny
"Kash does," Sunny confirmed with a nod. "If it's a physical thing, he might be able to help." He'd healed her more than once when they'd had a mishap with the spear--she had the power and the knowledge to heal herself, but because she needed her powders to do that, her capacity was limited. She saved it for emergencies, and emergencies she knew exactly what the problem was.
Re: Clarice & Sunny
Well, it could, Sonya was a prime example of that but since he doesn't walk through her mind, that won't be an issue.
Re: Clarice & Sunny
Sunny nodded again. It was no skin off her nose if the recommendation was taken or not. She certainly had her preferences of who she talked to when she asked for help and who she didn't. "Either way, Kash is good people. Grumpy, but that's half the fun of talking to him."

"Then we should also get on just fine," Sunny laughed. "Though for right now, maybe I should leave you to tennis ball guillotine."
Re: Clarice & Sunny
"Thanks. It's a tough job but someone has to make the sacrifice of being the tennis ball executioner."
