Warm Jelly Donut - Open
Clarice still didn't sleep in her room. There were trust issues and decorating taste issues, but she was spending more time at the 'compound' as she called the Inn. Since the inhibitor collar was removed, Clarice's powers had been broken. She was pretty sure it had to do with everything that had happened to her, at least she hoped so.
So far everything that she'd tried to teleport came back split in two, even after she'd visited the places. Sometimes, it wouldn't hold true and fizzle out after a couple of minutes. The frustration was growing and she knew that made it even worse. She could hear John in her ear to concentrate on something you like.
She sat in the lobby, in one of the padded chairs, with a glowing light between her hands and a bunch of tennis balls at her feet. There was a light from the ceiling above, that correlated to the one between her hands. Clarice picked up one of the balls and tossed it through the teleport only to have two halves fall at her feet.
"Warm Jelly Donut."

Clarice and Jane
"The bakery is around the corner but I don't know if they have jelly donuts." She wasn't sure what that had to do with what they were doing.
Re: Clarice and Jane
She took a really good look at the woman with ink all over. Clarice was pretty sure she'd seen her down the hallway when she did a quick stop in her room. She was a little hard to miss.

"Okay, not Alec." She lowered her hands and the lights disappeared. "Alec's sperm donor?"

Otherwise she would have tried to teleport out, probably killing herself in the process.
Re: Liz/Clarice
"I'm sorry." Liz frowned a little, walking up a bit more and sitting across from Clarice. "Why is it broken?"

Peter and Clarice
Peter approaches, then gestures to the light in the ceiling. "That's cool."
Clarice is a relative newcomer, and while he's seen her around (and he's sure she's seen him), he still feels the need to formally introduce himself.
He closes the distance between them and then extends a hand to her. "I'm Peter," he says. "Your name is Clarice, right?"
Re: Peter and Clarice
"Yeah, I'm Clarice." She reached over and shook his hand briefly. "Peter, huh?" She'd seen him in her fly bys but hadn't heard names. Or rather hadn't paid attention. "You friends with Mack?" He was the only teenager she knew and given the size of the place, Clarice assumed.
Re: Peter and Clarice
He gestures to the sliced tennis ball. "What were you trying to do?" He thought she was trying to slice the tennis ball. If she were trying to do that, she'd done that successfully. It didn't seem like she considered this a mission success.

Kitty & Clarice
In any event, Clarice, the mutant known as Blink, was both less and more complicated. Kitty knew of her, because there had been a team called the Exiles that dropped through at one point and Nate Grey had known a Blink in his world that she thought was the one who had ended up in theirs. All of which meant that Kitty knew a very fast, very well-trained, very dangerous mutant ally named Clarice, knew what she was capable of, but had never actually met one--or not this one, anyway.
So she did the exact opposite of sneak up on her while she was training and instead walked up in plain sight and said, "Nice try, but the only warm jelly doughnuts in this reality are the ones that you might convince Emma to make," in a way that said I think I know what you're doing, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm friendly, and I'm like you she hoped. "I'm Kitty Pryde."
Re: Kitty & Clarice
"Clarice Fong." She smiled slightly at the mention of Emma, "and I'll ask her about making some. I know she makes marshmallows." That hadn't been her thing but they'd had a good conversation.
Then because she was always forthright, Clarice asked, "you a mutant, too?" With that, she could tell if it was just a coincidence with the name or she was an X-man.
Re: Kitty & Clarice
Ariel. Sprite. Punkin. Katya. Katschen. Kitten.
"Different reality than yours, I'm pretty sure. The Blink I know of is more pink and has no pupils."

Clarice & Sunny
Sunny examined the join with her eyes and with her fingers, squeezing the ball to be sure it wouldn't just fall apart in the same away again.
She smiled almost apologetically. "Unless you meant running out of balls to be your signal to take a break?"
Re: Clarice & Sunny
Which healing a ball wasn't really healing, it could be connected.

He looked at the tennis ball.
"Or," He said with a positive tone. "You could just open up a business where you make sandwiches. Everyone loves a perfectly symmetrical sandwich."
