[GP] Food for the soul

Carlos hated being back at the hotel. He had begun by trying to access the Nevernever but that had totally failed, then caught up with Buffy to go and visit both London and Edinburgh, for varying reasons, and the rest of the time he had headed to Spain - he may have been well travelled, but rarely got time to be a tourist - but his time relaxing and finding out about Spain had been unceremoniously cut short when he woke up and found himself back at the hotel. For a few moments he lay there, utterly fed up, and just feeling incredibly homesick.

That only lasted a few minutes; after that he was a man on a mission.

He hunted out Caroline, and had a long chat with her. Plans were set. Time to cook up a storm. They'd missed 4th July, this could serve as a belated celebration, as well as a 'things ain't all bad here' event. Posters went up throughout the hotel, giving notice of a cook out. Everyone was encouraged to attend. What could be bad about this?

Grills were set up outside to cook up as much meat as they could hold; non-meat options were there as well for variety; salads prepared... a vast array of food to try and cheer up anyone who needed it. Carlos took his place at the grills, brandishing tools, turning the meat over just at the right point.

All that was needed now was people to attend.

She shook her head. "None taken. They are. Have you met Dyson? He's a nice guy, but can be a total dick sometimes." She grinned though, because she said so with fondness.. mostly.

Molly snickered, "all guys can be a dick but yeah I have. I mean we haven't had conversations but ..." She knew that he was with Regina. "So what's a dark Fae? In my world it's Winter Court and Summer Court and I guess Winter would be classified as dark if it were a black and white world. But in your world, can anyone choose the side or is it your family has always been Dark so you are, too?"

Bo only was familiar with this a year and a half ago. Before that, she hadn't even known what she was or that the Fae world existed.

"There are two sides. Dark and Light. Since like, forever, I guess. Generally Dark is bad and Light is good, though there's jerks on both sides, if you ask me. Technically you can choose, I guess, but you're usually born into one side or the other. There's this like, trial they make you fight to prove yourself and everyone needs to pick a side, blah blah balance and rules." She rolled her eyes.

"I passed the stupid trial, but I refused to pick a side. I told the elders I choose humans... that really pissed them off." Though by her smile, it probably indicated Bo still felt like it was a good choice. "So I'm technically unaligned and that makes a lot of people angry." She shrugged. Technically it also made her able to go through both territories.

Molly snickered, "see? That's another reason why I like you. That sounds like something I would do, just to piss off both sides." It might also sounds like something a certain mentor of hers, would do too.

"So you're basically a Fae Switzerland with Bite Me as your response instead of can't we all just get along." Molly liked it.

She laughed. "I guess you could look at it that way." Sometimes she hated it, but most of the time she knew she made the right choice. "I work as a private detective back home, most of the time, anyways. It means I can go onto Dark or Light territory and actual figure out problems." Otherwise, there was sometimes so much red tape.

"Get out! Me, too." Molly told her. "Well I don't work with the Fae, but I help Harry out on his cases and take some of my own. He's got an ad in the Yellow Pages for paranormal investigations."

"I guess Sam has a type that's more than hot women who are good in bed, huh?" She was sort of teasing, but also not. Still, she winked. "My best friend made a flyer. We couldn't afford an ad in the yellow pages. Somehow it seemed to make its rounds, though."

"I'd ask how many non-paranormal cases did you get that they thought was paranormal but since you have a lot of supernatural in your world, probably not a lot." Molly looked over at Bo, "you wouldn't believe the number of 'hauntings' that were just old houses and their noise that we got. Of course I put on a big show to get rid of them. Harry wanted to tell them the truth -seriously."

"I can't think of any that didn't turn out to be not fae related." She shook her head. "Well, actually, there were a few lost cats." Those were often Kenzi missions.

"You're probably right. Once people decide something is mysterious, it's hard to convince them it's not." For whatever reason.

"Plus they pay you extra if they think you've sent the ghost 'to the light'." Molly grinned, "but Harry was always honest. I just learned how to use words where you weren't lying but you didn't exactly tell the truth either."

"Double-talk." She nodded. "It's the best sort of talking sometime. Like you promise, but not really." They definitely had a lot in common - Sam had a type for sure.

"You ever do your light show while feeling other people's emotions?"

Molly had to think about it, "actually, no. I mean I always feel what others are feeling, but I haven't done a light show connected to emotions like that. I bet it would amplify it."

"Is it wrong my first thought was how great of an ambiance it would be during sex?" Bo smiled wryly to her. "And a good indication if your partner was hitting the right spots." Not that Sam generally had a problem with that.

Molly chuckled, "not anymore wrong than my first thought about a veil - once I knew that's what I was doing - was wow that's a turn on to be able to have sex in public while being invisible."

Bo looked at Molly with a smile and mischief... and there was some hunger there. The sort of hunger that promised a good time. "Now I really wish I had magical powers."

Molly felt a familiar shudder run down her spine at the look and the emotion. She smiled slowly and with promise, "luckily, you know someone with it and she's willing to share both the light show and the veil with you."

She wet her lips. Damn, she could almost feel the aura around her strengthen. It was wonderfully distracting. "You know, I'd love a personal demonstration if you'd like to give one."

"It would be my pleasure." Molly quipped, "and yours." She stepped closer, "any time you want a personal light show with a veil just ask."

She knew what she was feeling was partially feeding off of the feelings of Bo, but it was also being with an attractive woman.

It was hard to resist that offer, especially when Molly took a step closer. Bo's eyes roamed over Molly's body appreciatively. God, she looked good - Molly always looked good. She couldn't quite help herself as she reached out to touch Molly's shoulder and trail her hand down her arm. "They always say that there's no time like the present."

"My favorite time." Molly agreed with a wink and felt a stronger shudder of pleasure at Bo's touch. She slid the veil around them so they disappeared from sight to others at the gathering.

For Bo, it would make the world around them have a slightly shimmering quality.

"Consider yourself veiled."

The sense of taboo that came with this idea only sparked Bo's desire. It sent a thrill up her spine and she closed the distance between her and Molly. Her hands moved to the small of the woman's back. "Nice ambiance." She grinned seductively. She could feel Molly's reaction and it, in turn, fueled her own even more. There was little she could do to stop herself, really, as she leaned forward to kiss Molly hungrily - her body one that Bo enjoyed to explore immensely.
