Dean makes good on a bet - Lip Sync Hell

With the help of River and copious amounts of alcohol, Dean had finally finished learning the stupid song and moves. It was put off as long as he could, but Dean would never go back on a bet. Especially one won doing beer pong. It didn't mean he wouldn't get his revenge. He would, but for now, Dean was a single lady and you better put a ring on it.

The most traveled place was the spot by the cafe in the lobby. Most people would see you there either coming and going from the inn or to the bar or pool. Of course Clarice picked that spot.

He set up the music and hoped that for once, everyone was outside enjoying the day. Dean was dressed in the 'gift' from Clarice but he was not wearing the pumps, he didn't care and he had borrowed a wig. If he was going to do it, he would do it right.

The beginning of the song began to play and Dean got to the empty area 'stage'.

Dean was definitely in a happy place right then.

"See? I like that plan. I wouldn't say this was worth it, but that helps with the humiliation."

Jane laughed and since they'd arrived at the bar, she pointed toward a seat for him to take. "That should be in the dark enough. I'll get some beer." It didn't take long for her to get a six pack and return, handing him one.

"Here's to lip syncing entertainment and good sports."

Dean clinked his bottle against hers and downed half the beer. "A good sport that's determined I'm not going to lose a bet to Clarice again."

"Just Clarice, or determined not to lose a bet ever?" Her eyes twinkled, "because I'm almost certain that seeing the show, more people will want to see you do that again."

"I think it's moved to never going to lose a bet ever." But he winked at Jane, "unless it's you, because those are always win/win."

"I'm honored." Jane said easily and drank from her glass. "I like our win/win bets, too." A beat. "But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see you lip sync again. Though maybe not in a leotard and wig."

Dean scowled into his drink. "Definitely not a leotard and wig." Then he looked up at Jane, "but I wouldn't mind a lip sync of CCR." Then he smiled, "or Eye of the Tiger." Because that was a great song.

"CCR?" Jane didn't know what or who that was but assumed they were a band since he wanted to lip sync to them.

"I seriously have to update your music knowledge." Dean shook his head,"Creedence Clearwater Revival." He made a tsk sound, but his eyes held humor.

Then he began to softly sing,
"I see the bad moon a-rising

There's a bad moon on the rise."

Jane listened to the timber of his voice as he sang. It was pretty good.. "Yeah, still never heard of them, but I like the song if that helps." She glanced around the bar, they were still relatively alone. "Since my music education is based on the Inn, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of songs and people I've never heard of."

"Good thing my egg had some decent music in it so I don't have to listen to this nineties pop music." Dean popped open another beer bottle. "I will educate you on real music. Led Zepplin, Lynyrd Skynyrd. CCR and Kansas."

"I don't know. I kind of liked the song that you just used." Jane said with a shrug. "I know it's not your taste, but it's was fun to listen to." It was why she'd downloaded it in Europe.

She quickly grinned, "but that might have been because I spent a lot of time in clubs in Europe." Jane had actually enjoyed herself going to clubs.

"See, I'm more of a dive bar kind of guy." Dean swiveled on the bench seat and put his legs out on the seat with his back against the wall. "But I do like the idea of you in a sexy mini dress dancing." He turned his head to look at her with a wink.

"Do you? Is that like the naughty nurse outfit?" Jane teased him glad his mind was leaving the lip syncing.

"Damn straight. Now if you could find a cheerleader outfit, too. I think I'm all set." There was a sparkle in his eyes and a tilt to his lips.

"Should I ask Clarice if she can find one where she found your outfit?" Jane asked with a straight face but her eyes held humor.

"Oh, that's just mean. Nice shot." Dean winced, "I'm no longer thinking about you in a cheerleader outfit." There was still humor, though this was directed at himself.

"Then my job here is done." Jane leaned over to give him a quick kiss. "I'll leave you to finish the bottle, my shift starts in a minute, but if you want some consoling later, stop by."

Dean waggled his eyebrows, "oh, I'll definitely need consoling." He picked up the bottle and waved it around as a farewell wave. "This will help though until then."
