Alec had, for all intensive purposes, been avoiding Peter. There were some standard 'hey's given and a mumbled apology on his way in the first day, but otherwise Alec was either out late, until Peter was asleep or on his way to the gym or to the bakery or for a jog. One day he took four showers just to avoid a conversation with Peter.
Today was probably different. Today he couldn't find the locket. From his room there were a series of swears and curses and the sound of furniture being turned over. His mattress was up against the wall, the drawers of his dresser were pulled out. Alec was going through the room like he'd go through a room looking for a hidden compartment or something, with no such luck.
