[GP] Shoot that poison arrow
None of the guests noticed when the spiky-haired man-child in jeans and purple t-shirt, wrists wrapped in cheap leather and metal bracelets, arrived at the Madonna Inn a few hours before midnight on February 13. That, in itself, wasn't all that surprising. Eros, otherwise known as Danny Valentine, had millennia of experience doing his job without being spotted.
What was surprising was that the dude at the front desk did see him. Tall and Nondescript waved him over and then gave him a room number 'in case you wanted to rest'. But Danny didn't.
Want to, or rest. He spent the time before the clock struck midnight polishing his love gun. Not like that. He'd find a girl to spend his nameday with. He always did. No, this little beauty was made by Hephaestus himself. It shot love darts that disappeared on contact.
At midnight, kitted out with more love darts than there were people in this pink and gold monstrosity, Danny left his room and shot the first person he saw--and didn't wait to see what would happen.
No point getting a slow start. He had a lot of work to do.

Lara - for Kitty
Of course, she'd kept to herself as soon as she realized that Something was going on, until it was time to go to the Night Club for her bartending shift. With Kitty, who was for her one of the safest people in the Inn. She at least knew where the fault lines in Lara tended to be.
Oddly, it wasn't a very busy night. Valentine's was ordinarily a packed sort of night, full of couples drinking, toasting each other, enjoying a night on the town. This year, though... yes, it was actually understandable. Those who weren't sick of the day's shenanigans had already retired to privacy, and those who were had simply retired. After an hour or two straight of no customers at all, she and Kitty agreed that closing early was a good idea. Not least because it would allow them to hide away in private, too, Lara thought.
Re: Lara - for Kitty
It helped, too, that Lara knew about her. Kitty moved more honestly around her, which probably sounded like nonsense when she said out loud (which she didn't), but it felt perfectly sensible. Logan would understand.
In retrospect, that was probably why she said, "So. Guess what happened this morning?" because if anyone would get how she could be happy Wyatt kissed her and glad they weren't jumping into anything, it would be Lara. At the time, when she said it, she suddenly felt flushed, and her gaze fell on Lara's mouth. Wow. It was happening again. Like with Shan. Maybe that attraction wasn't a one-off.
Re: Lara - for Kitty
Lara flung a towel over her shoulder, turned to lean against the bar and smile at Kitty, and found herself focused on whether she would fall through empty space or whether Kitty would stay solid. Solid, and warm, with a soft mouth, and hands....
Re: Lara - for Kitty
She took a step toward Lara and then another, until they were standing close enough to touch if one of them took a deep breath. Without realizing she'd done it, she'd reached out -- and only instinct and knowledge of her friend kept her from actually touching her. "Ell, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" It probably didn't matter if she was, but Kitty wanted her to be... because, god, she really wanted to kiss her.
Re: Lara - for Kitty
Kitty who wanted to know if they were thinking the same thing. "God, I hope so," Lara managed before leaning the short distance to cover Kitty's mouth with her own. She'd kissed girls before, which was to say that she'd kissed Sam before, in clubs on nights when Sam thought that girls kissing girls would attract the kind of guy she wanted. But there were no guys here, and she was kissing Kitty all and only because she wanted to.
Re: Lara - for Kitty
But then that was too sweet, too slow, and Kitty pulled Lara up against her, kissed her more thoroughly while appreciating the warmth and soft curves pressed against her. She'd kissed a girl once as a dare, and almost kissed Shan, but this was the first time she'd kissed another woman out of pure attraction.
Re: Lara - for Kitty
She tangled one hand in Kitty's hair, enjoying the feel of it and incidentally tugging her closer to add some extra heat to their joined mouths. Her other hand toyed with the hem of Kitty's shirt, fingers slipping under the cloth to stroke warm skin.
Re: Lara - for Kitty
She paused to appreciate her, stroked the curve of her cheek, smiled and went back for more--first a soft exchange of breath, enjoying being right here, this close, to someone she cared about as much as Lara. But then sharing breath became too much of a tease, and she kissed her again, heatedly.
Re: Lara - for Kitty
When clothes started to feel like the worst mistake on record, though, Lara pulled back slightly. Enough to break their current liplock, but still pressed against Kitty otherwise. If nothing else, stripping each other at the Night Club's bar, out in the open, was probably a bad idea. Unless they agreed it wasn't. "Kitty."
Re: Lara - for Kitty
Because... Wyatt. But Lara.
