It's Pronounced "Tiefling" - OTA

Zahra needed to get a lay of the land now that she had arrived and things seemed to have calmed down a little. She was sure leaving the room would worry Kash, but she had only ventured out a few times briefly and now it felt right. She had filled him in on everything that she knew happened back home, spent many days enjoying the marvel of hot baths on demand, and discovered what a 'TV' was and tried to get some idea of what this plane was like. Now it was time to experience it for herself.

Zahra did not hide what she was. The red-skinned Tiefling wore a grey dress with a hole cut and sewn to allow her tail freedom of movement behind her. She decided to leave her staff behind, but she had done so after a lot of thought. The humans here didn't need to see her walking around with a weapon, but she felt naked and vulnerable. Kash said they were safe and so she would lean on those words as she navigated the inn weaponless.

She found the pool, crouching down by the water and feeling the cool water against her fingers. She could smell something from the water that told her the water wasn't entirely pure. It took her some time to figure out it was a place to bathe or swim, like a lake in the middle of the forest. She did take note of the heated part of the pool.

Her next step was through the lobby to the bar. Taverns looked similar no matter what plane of existence you were on, it seemed. She felt her stomach growl and after a moment found her way to the restaurant. She ordered the chicken because it reminded her of Scanlan.

After her meal she found her way to the library. There were not as many books as there was in Whitestone or even the Slayer's Take, but there were many. She started to peruse.

Her last stop was to Vex's room. She knocked and waited patiently.

(ooc: Find her anywhere. She has white eyes with no pupil or iris and horns on her head.)

Molly's smile flickered for an instant, but only an instant, at the description.

"I do mind magic, My magic isn't offensive magic at all, it's mostly defensive. I mean it can be used that way, but it's not like my mentor at home that can throw fireballs and make buildings explode."

Despite herself, Molly felt herself grin thinking of the many times that Harry had said almost the same thing. "My mentor says the same thing about my magic and no, I don't really want to throw fireballs." She was honest in that sentiment, "but I did want to feel more useful which is why Kash offered to teach me. I can do what I call my rave."

With that, Molly demonstrated her 'rave' and above them was a dazzling display of lights and sound.

"That's what I was thinking when I first tried it." Molly admitted. "And I'm the oldest of seven kids, so it was fun to make fireworks for them even if it wasn't really fireworks."

But when she went to Mexico with Harry, it was a great way to distract vampires.

"That's a fact." Molly had to agree with her on that one. "Even if you wanted to be and I miss the chaos." There was a different kind of chaos here but it wasn't the same.

"Nope, just me. Dad has a magical sword." Molly laughed, knowing how that sounded. "Uh, I mean literally. He has a sword of God, but that's the only magical in the family except me."

"The world doesn't really." Molly began her explanation. "Just the supernatural one that a lot of non-magical people don't know about. To be honest we don't know who we're at war against. I mean the main one pulling the strings. We used to be at war against the vampires but they kind of got their ass kicked. It's one of the Outsiders."

Molly tried to think how to describe them, "my friend says they are insanely powerful and insanely violent. That's a pretty good description."

And Harry should know, he'd been up against He Who Walks Behind.

"Aw crap. How do gods get newly minted?" That didn't sound like a good thing at all. That would be all they needed back home. Someone deciding to drink some god Kool-Aid and blam - world gone to shit.

Molly pushed her experience with the Necromancer Corpsetaker aside. She was very good at ignoring painful thoughts. Push it down and move on. That had been her mantra for a long time now.

"No offense if you know good necromancers but in my world they suck. And they would totally bring about some douche as a god."

Mostly they'd make themselves one. Same thing.

"Me, either." Molly admitted. "In my world the wizards have seven laws that can't be broken. I mean they can but it means death, and using magic to change death is one of the laws."

Sure there were loopholes like when Harry reanimated Sue the T-Rex to fight the really bad guys, but he didn't technically break it.

"Sure they're don't kill by use of magic, don't transform others, don't invade the mind of another, you can't enthrall another, never reach beyond the borders of life, don't swim against the Currents of Time, never ever seek beyond the Outer Gates." Molly ticked them off one by one. "The last one is super important because that's where the Outsiders are." The ones that a lot of people think were behind the current war.

"It does extend to resurrection." Molly thought about it, "not that I go by the laws anymore, but I guess I've seen too many horror movies to not think you might not come back okay." She made a face, "I would be tempted if it was someone I cared about, don't get me wrong, but I don't know if I actually would break that law."

"Your friend was okay?" Molly asked despite herself and when winced. "Sorry, none of my business."

She didn't mention that Kash had put a Death Ward on her, Corbie and River once so she knew what that was like. Not that it ever had been put to the test.
