Peter Parker Party(Closed to Piotr, Kitty, Sora, Alec, and obvs Peter)
Liz had been organizing the small party for Peter for two weeks and it had been hard not to excitedly tell Peter everything. She knew he considered today his birthday. His sixteenth birthday and she wanted him to feel special today.
Once Peter was out of the room, she went in a decorated. Everything was simple, but made from the heart. She had, with Pike's instructions, made a chocolate cake with vanilla icing and piped a web in black on it with candles that said '16'. There were some finger-foods like pigs in a blanket anc chips, but the 'main course' was thai food. Or, something that maybe resembled it. Liz had worked with Emma to try and make some. There was Thai curry and Pad Thai and there was even an attempt at Larb based off of Peter's recount to Liz and then Liz's recount to Emma. There were red and blue streamers carefully places around the room.
Liz was dressed in a simple black tank top and jeans, but her hair was pulled back and clipped together by a Homemade bow.
There was music playing in the back ground of the borrowed boom box. She turned around in place looking at everything and wondered if Peter would have wanted more?
Once everyone else had arrived, it was just Peter they were waiting on. When he did, everyone but Alec shouted, to varying degrees of enthusiasm, 'Surprise'.

Re: Peter and Alec
Peter found a lot of wires and some things that don't look exactly like current technology.
Alec rolled his eyes, though also slightly amused. "It's just a frame, kid. It'll hold a picture you take in the front of it. Press the little bottom on the bottom of the frame."
Re: Peter and Alec
He flips the frame back over and fingers the button, but doesn't press it yet. Instead he looks down at it, at Alec's face.
"Why a picture of you?" he asks, and then he turns to face Alec again. Maybe it was just the best picture Alec could take, but it's better if he just asks him straight.
Re: Peter and Alec
He shrugged, talking with his mouth full. "I wuz gonna be for me but den Liz said it will yet birfday."
He swallowed the cake. "So, there you go."
He totally didn't just come across it in the space station market and think that Peter would like it and buy it for the kid at all. Nope.
Re: Peter and Alec
Peter looks at the photo.
Then looks at Alec.
Then the photo.
And back at Alec again.
"You keep around a photo of yourself?"
Re: Peter and Alec
Alec rolled his eyes. "Do you want the present or what? I'll take it back." He bluffingly held out his hand with a deadpanned expression.
Re: Peter and Alec
"N-no," Peter stammered, holding it to his chest. "I like it. Thank you. And you know, I'm--" Peter presses his lips together. "I'm glad you came."
Re: Peter and Alec
There might have been a hint at Peter's admission, but he didn't address it.
"You're welcome. I thought you could take a picture of your girlfriend so you can pine over her when you guys aren't together."
Alec sholved more cake in his mouth. "So yer sisteen huh?"
Re: Peter and Alec
"Yeah, finally," Peter says. "Maybe people will stop treating me like a kid now."
Re: Peter and Alec
"Dude-" Alec stopped himself. But seriously, an adult at 16? He of course only vaguely understood the irony to his inward eyeroll since he also argued for Peter's independence and more adult experiences.
He finished off the slice of cake he had - he ate a lot like his older 'twin' Dean. "You feel older now? More adult? Ready to take on the world, huh?"
Re: Peter and Alec
Peter's sure that it probably sounds really lame to Alec, especially since it's not the getting older part that makes him feel like he can take on anything, but Peter doesn't really care. And he doesn't care because it's true. He really just feels better having everyone nearby just -- celebrating him.
Re: Peter and Alec
At least it seemed that Peter was able to admit there was strength in numbers. Having a unit behind you, so to speak, was good. Alec missed having a unit to, so much as it was with a dog man, Max, a crippled human, and a sassy lesbian.
"Speaking of, never really mentioned this, but, uh. " Damn this was hard. "You know, about the dance." He shrugged. "Should have realized you'd be a light weight."
Or, you know, 'I'm sorry', but that didn't come out.
Re: Peter and Alec
"Did you at least have a good rest of your night?"
Re: Peter and Alec
"Sure." He shrugged. "Didn't go back to the room with a girl like you did, but we can't always be lucky. At least no one jumped me." He teased a little. "And Kitty didn't kick my ass for getting you drunk, so there's that too. That woman's got a kick to her." And a punch. And a jab too.
Re: Peter and Alec
"We didn't do anything."
And Peter doesn't know why he feels the need to tell Alec this, or why any of it actually matters. It just does.
"What are you doing fighting Kitty anyway?"
Re: Peter and Alec
Alec would have pointed out that he didn't actually imply they did anything. Particularly because he was sure Peter would be this beacon of obvious if it ever did happen and the two of them in one room would have them exchanging different sort of puppy love eyes at each other.
But Alec focused more on the second part.
"I'm not fighting her by choice." Except for that one time when they were sparing. "She apparently took offense to our fighting in the parking lot even though that was totally your idea."
Re: Peter and Alec
"If it makes you feel any better, Kitty lectured me about not rising up to your bait."
A beat.
"I think. I might have dreamed that. I'm not really sure."
Re: Peter and Alec
Alec would still protest that the fight in the parking lot was Peter's idea and not his. He took full credit for all the other things though.
"Not that I actually care, but I never got to ask you about what happened on the station. What the hell did you do to piss them off?" Alec figured Peter probably opened his big mouth, but you never knew. "Or was that an elaborate way of getting out of your situation." Of which he had gotten arrested for.
Re: Peter and Alec
The whole situation was kinda weird. Peter stops there for a minute, trying to figure out how to explain it to Alec. It was pretty straightforward, but Peter wants to be careful about how he relays the story.
"A couple of them were in a bar, and the main one -- the big guy wanted to buy Liz off me. And when we both refused, we ended up getting into a fight."
A beat.
"He tried to take Liz."
Peter breathes in there, and then looks over at Alec. "I'm sorry you and Dean got dragged into it. I never asked how you managed to get out of it."
Re: Peter and Alec
"You don't have to apologize for assholes. Besides, it was kind of fun." Alec needed more excuses to fight, if he was being honest.
At the question he shrugged. "A couple of days. Kitty pulled some strings."
He leaned over and whispered with what seemed like sincerity. "Between you and me, I think she's got a thing for me."
Re: Peter and Alec
"You and Kitty?" he utters, his mouth still hanging open. A silence sits between them while Peter attempts to process this.
Does not computer.
"Are you serious?" he asks, finally. "I mean," he gestures at Kitty, then at Alec. " You and her?"
Re: Peter and Alec
He nodded with a straight face. "She keeps following me around and making eyes at me from across the room. She just won't leave me alone. It's cute, really." Kitty was probably going to kick his ass for this, but Alec couldn't help it.
"I think I'll just play hard to get. Wouldn't want to make it easy on her right?"
Re: Peter and Alec
"I can't tell if you're being serious," Peter says, because he genuinely can't tell. "But if you are, I'm not gonna okay with it if you hurt Kitty."
Re: Peter and Alec
That surprised him a little and Alec realized it probably shouldn't.
"Dude, what kind of guy do you think I am?"
Re: Peter and Alec
Re: Peter and Alec
He pauses as if to consider, then purses his lips in a 'yeah okay you're probably right' expression that was accompanied by a nod. Kid had a point.
"Alright, teen justice, calm down. I won't bother Kitty. She's safe from my dark and sinister ways
