Peter Parker Party(Closed to Piotr, Kitty, Sora, Alec, and obvs Peter)
Liz had been organizing the small party for Peter for two weeks and it had been hard not to excitedly tell Peter everything. She knew he considered today his birthday. His sixteenth birthday and she wanted him to feel special today.
Once Peter was out of the room, she went in a decorated. Everything was simple, but made from the heart. She had, with Pike's instructions, made a chocolate cake with vanilla icing and piped a web in black on it with candles that said '16'. There were some finger-foods like pigs in a blanket anc chips, but the 'main course' was thai food. Or, something that maybe resembled it. Liz had worked with Emma to try and make some. There was Thai curry and Pad Thai and there was even an attempt at Larb based off of Peter's recount to Liz and then Liz's recount to Emma. There were red and blue streamers carefully places around the room.
Liz was dressed in a simple black tank top and jeans, but her hair was pulled back and clipped together by a Homemade bow.
There was music playing in the back ground of the borrowed boom box. She turned around in place looking at everything and wondered if Peter would have wanted more?
Once everyone else had arrived, it was just Peter they were waiting on. When he did, everyone but Alec shouted, to varying degrees of enthusiasm, 'Surprise'.

OTA
"Wow," he manages to say. And he knows he should say something else, but he can't think of anything else to say. No one has ever done anything like this for him before. When he was younger, it was just him and his parents and May and Ben. Then it was May and Ben and Ned. And eventually, it was just May and Ned. It's hard for him not to be feel stunned. So stunned that he can't really take in the people or the decor or the food right now.
"Thank you guys so much," he says, because that seems appropriate right now. But he's not sure what to do -- or what to say -- after that.
Peter and Alec
He approached Peter sometime after the cake was cut, a plate with a piece in his hand and another a square, perfectly wrapped gift - Peter could thank the military for the tight corners.
"Here." He tossed it to Peter who he knew had good reflexes. Then Alec dug into the chocolate cake. Not bad.
Inside Peter would find a white almost translucent picture frame and Alec's face winking at him.
Re: Peter and Alec
Peter's never been the sort of person to tear into gifts, so he carefully unwraps the gift, and looks down at it.
A photo?
Peter squints down at it, then flips it over and opens the back. Alec seems like the sort of person who'd do something weird to it, and that's the first thing Peter thinks to check.
Re: Peter and Alec
Peter found a lot of wires and some things that don't look exactly like current technology.
Alec rolled his eyes, though also slightly amused. "It's just a frame, kid. It'll hold a picture you take in the front of it. Press the little bottom on the bottom of the frame."
Re: Peter and Alec
He flips the frame back over and fingers the button, but doesn't press it yet. Instead he looks down at it, at Alec's face.
"Why a picture of you?" he asks, and then he turns to face Alec again. Maybe it was just the best picture Alec could take, but it's better if he just asks him straight.
Re: Peter and Alec
He shrugged, talking with his mouth full. "I wuz gonna be for me but den Liz said it will yet birfday."
He swallowed the cake. "So, there you go."
He totally didn't just come across it in the space station market and think that Peter would like it and buy it for the kid at all. Nope.

Re: Peter and Liz
"Really."
That probably just makes it sound even more insincere.
Peter makes eye contact with Liz and smiles. "Thank you, Liz. I haven't really had a party like this ever."
Re: Peter and Liz
She knew him enough, or so she'd like to think anyways, to know he wouldn't be insincere to her.
"I'm glad you like it." She had been a little worried he would want more people to attend, but then she thought a more private party might be nicer.
Liz leaned in to kiss him chastely. "I want you to feel special today."
Re: Peter and Liz
Peter's thankful for that. There's a lot that happened after that, at the beginning of the school year.
"Everything looks great," Peter says, now that he's cognizant enough to be able to take everything in. "Did you do this all by yourself?"
Re: Peter and Liz
"Most of it. Pike taught me how to do piping," the webbing on the cake wasn't as straight as she wanted it to be, but at least it looked like a web, "And Emma made the food. It's um.. well, hopefully it's Thai food."
Liz wasn't an expert on the taste so she had no idea. "And it probably isn't right, but we tried to make larb for you."

A beat.
"Sometimes." And quickly, Peter moves along: "Thanks for coming. I'm really glad you could be here. Liz and I were --"
Peter pauses temporarily and presses his lips together. Should he continue?
He decides to.
"Liz and I were worried when we didn't see you the other night."
Re: OTA
Piotr's brows furrowed, "I am sorry to have worried you. Which night was it?"
Re: OTA
Peter looks up at Piotr. "Thank you." He immediately looks down at it again. He'll have to put it up on the wall tomorrow, once he found some nails. He hoped the hotel would be okay with this modification.
"Oh, the night at the party. We didn't see you there."

Re: OTA
When she approached him, she had two gifts in her hands behind her back. "Happy birthday. Pick a hand."
Re: OTA
Peter hesitates for a long moment, not entirely sure if this is some sort of test. But when he makes his decision, it's a decisive one:
"Right."
Re: OTA
"I call the Spidey Slush."
Re: OTA
-- and then back down at the drink again.
"You named a drink after me?" This is on-par with having a sandwich named after him at Delmar's. Maybe it's even better, because almost everyone here already knows he's Spider-Man. If there was a sandwich at Delmar's named The Spider-Man, people wouldn't know it was named after him.
But you didn't become a superhero to have food items named after you and take credit for it.
That sure doesn't stop Peter from feeling excited anyway. He takes the drink from Kitty's hands and takes a sip.
"It's good," he says, trying to fight off the brain freeze that struck him immediately after his first sip. "Thanks a lot."
Another long sip. Did Kitty bartend back on her own Earth? Peter makes a mental note to ask sometime.
"What's in your left hand?"

Liz stood by the cake, cutting it after having sung to Peter and him blowing out the candles.
Re: OTA
Re: OTA
Liz smiled and hugged Kitty back. "Thanks. I was a little worried he'd be upset it was a surprise, but I figured if I just kept it small, it would be okay."
Her eyes slipped to Alec for a second, then back to Kitty. It was funny because at first Liz had been upset with him for getting Peter drunk and then, when the morning came around and Liz and Peter had talked, well, it had been kind of nice. "He reminds me a little of Kyle, but in a more extreme way." And Kyle when he was drunk, Kyle. Not his normal sober Buddha self.
"I ended up making three cakes before this one." The others ones had been too dry, not dry enough, and then burned until she got it right.
Re: OTA
"Peter's resilient. Even if he didn't like being surprised, he'd get over it, because it was you. Just like he'd probably pretend to like the cake if it was terrible." Kitty winked playfully. "So, I'll taste it and tell you the truth." K
Re: OTA
Liz laughed. "Okay, thanks. I think." She smiled though as she really did appreciate it.
She let her gaze move to where Peter was for a moment, her smile warming to something more fond. She wanted to tell Kitty all about him spending the night in her room, but somehow it felt not quite right to do it here at the party. Her eyes moved back to Kitty. "I let him read my journal." She just needed to tell that to someone and Kitty was the closest thing to Maria she had.
