It's Pronounced "Tiefling" - OTA
Zahra needed to get a lay of the land now that she had arrived and things seemed to have calmed down a little. She was sure leaving the room would worry Kash, but she had only ventured out a few times briefly and now it felt right. She had filled him in on everything that she knew happened back home, spent many days enjoying the marvel of hot baths on demand, and discovered what a 'TV' was and tried to get some idea of what this plane was like. Now it was time to experience it for herself.
Zahra did not hide what she was. The red-skinned Tiefling wore a grey dress with a hole cut and sewn to allow her tail freedom of movement behind her. She decided to leave her staff behind, but she had done so after a lot of thought. The humans here didn't need to see her walking around with a weapon, but she felt naked and vulnerable. Kash said they were safe and so she would lean on those words as she navigated the inn weaponless.
She found the pool, crouching down by the water and feeling the cool water against her fingers. She could smell something from the water that told her the water wasn't entirely pure. It took her some time to figure out it was a place to bathe or swim, like a lake in the middle of the forest. She did take note of the heated part of the pool.
Her next step was through the lobby to the bar. Taverns looked similar no matter what plane of existence you were on, it seemed. She felt her stomach growl and after a moment found her way to the restaurant. She ordered the chicken because it reminded her of Scanlan.
After her meal she found her way to the library. There were not as many books as there was in Whitestone or even the Slayer's Take, but there were many. She started to peruse.
Her last stop was to Vex's room. She knocked and waited patiently.
(ooc: Find her anywhere. She has white eyes with no pupil or iris and horns on her head.)

The name sparked recognition in her and Zahra regarded the woman in front of her again with a little more concentration. "It's nice to meet you, Molly. My name is Zahra." She was pretty. She looked strong. "Would you happen to know Kashaw, by any chance?"

Zahra nodded. "He's very good at teaching. His eye for combat is almost an art." She spoke of him fondly and it was probably hard to miss the pride in her voice. "He told me you were very good and that you were a powerful magic user as well."

"I do mind magic, My magic isn't offensive magic at all, it's mostly defensive. I mean it can be used that way, but it's not like my mentor at home that can throw fireballs and make buildings explode."
no subject
"Some of the best magic is the kind that helps those around you during a fight." She wondered what kind of mind magic Molly was capable of. "Do you want to learn to throw fireballs?"

With that, Molly demonstrated her 'rave' and above them was a dazzling display of lights and sound.

Zahra's eyes went up to the lights as she took in Molly's magic. After a moment of reveling, her eyes returned to Molly's gaze. "I haven't seen something quite like that. It's very pleasant." It had made Zahra smile, even. "You could quite literally be the life of the party."

But when she went to Mexico with Harry, it was a great way to distract vampires.

"Seven children sounds like a house you can never be lonely in." She didn't have a big family because her mother had died in child birth, but Lillith's had many and it wasn't uncommon to have several children if you were a commoner.

"Is your whole family born with magic?" She knew for some magic was innate, but she had no personal experience with that.

Her eyebrows raised. "A magic sword can be quite powerful." Cursed swords even more so, but she wouldn't will that on anyone. "How much fighting does your world need if your father has a sword and you wish to defend yourself, if I may be so bold to ask."

Molly tried to think how to describe them, "my friend says they are insanely powerful and insanely violent. That's a pretty good description."
And Harry should know, he'd been up against He Who Walks Behind.
no subject
"Not knowing who you're up against can be rather frustrating." And extremely dangerous. "I arrived here after having my ass handed to me by a newly minted god, so I understand the insanely powerful and violent." And she thought they could all burn in the prison of Hell.

"I don't know all the specifics, but there were several powerful necromancers involved so the answer is not peacefully." She offered a hint of a smile. "But I doubt Vox Machina will let him continue his path for much longer."
no subject
"No offense if you know good necromancers but in my world they suck. And they would totally bring about some douche as a god."
Mostly they'd make themselves one. Same thing.
no subject
"Oh, no. No offense. Necromancers suck a lot, from my experiences as well. I would not be kind to one here if they appeared." It wasn't just Vecna that she had a bad run-in with, but death, in general, should be left alone and not played with.

Sure there were loopholes like when Harry reanimated Sue the T-Rex to fight the really bad guys, but he didn't technically break it.

"Just seven?" The laws in Exandria were mostly made by men in power who often didn't have magic themselves. "May I ask what the others are?"

"Those all sound like good rules, although, would the life one not also extend to resurrection?" She thought of Pike and Kash and their ability to bring others back from the dead.
